Five old Larnaka Customs warehouses, built in colonial
style (1881), have recently been renovated and turned into
Larnaka Municipal Cultural Center. It houses Municipal
Gallery and the only Paleontology Museum in Cyprus, where
ancient fossilized remains of pygmy elephants and
hippopotami that once lived on the island could be seen.
The Center also has facilities for occasional exhibitions.

Largest collection of icons on the island, covering the
period from 9th to 18th century is shown in this museum.
Art Galleries contain oil paintings, maps and lithographs.
Nicosia Municipal Arts Center

The center is housed in the building of the old power
station, which is one of the finest examples of industrial
architecture in Cyprus. Its aim is to promote contemporary
creativity at its highest level by organizing important
and prestigious exhibitions.
