Singapore History Museum explores the rich heritage of the people of Singapore. From their ethnic and religious diversity, to the struggle for nationhood, the museum traces the trends and developments that have characterized and shaped life in Singapore from as early as 14th century.
Visitors can stroll through an early 20th century Peranakan house, fully recreated with its imposing ancestral hall, to the intricately furnished bridal chamber.
Visitor can also enjoy "Singapore Story, Overcoming Odds: A 3-D Experience", the only high definition 3-D show in town that presents the history of Singapore through animation, virtual sets and historical footages.
Free guided tours in English and Japanese are found.
