In general, it is considered favorable to off-set the main subject from the centre.
In this example it gets by, but it would have a more powerful effect if you'd crop off a quarter.
I suspect it is a Muslim motif.
When we talk about 'tradition' it could mean any tradition of any culture. How about giving us the historic fact?

Interesting door with nicely patterned stained glass that has drawn the photographer’s eye. Very central composition.
Good exposure; very even.
Suggest that the photographer lower the mid-tone values to bring out some contrast, and which increases the saturation of the wood texture and stained glass.
