I presume this is a totem pole, although at first glance it appeared to be a distorted face. The radial blur filter draws the eye to the middle of the image, but there isn’t a large amount of interest there.
Exposure on the subject is good although the background is extremely bright.

The secret of motion images like this one is that the central part of the image is in focus. The motion is effective, but this premise is not met. We can see what the subject matter is all about, even though large portions of the photo are in high key. Creative imagery like this is to be encouraged; it is how we make a mark for ourselves.

Creative use of Photoshop or in camera technique----(as West Coasters we do know that this is a Totem Pole----would those not familiar with Totem Poles know that???) Does it matter??? The story is in the abstract presentation. |
