very cute image and good exposure and DOF, however eye is soft. Nice documentary shot but not strong for a competition.

Very humorous. Many images of birds are beautiful representations, while this subject (cockatoo) contorts to scratch its head. It captures curving textured shape. Shutter speed stops the motion, so viewer is invited to wonder what is happening; good. Focus is sharp on the eye.
Exposure could be improved by about -½ stop, which would assist the saturation of the pink plumage.

This is a very lovely, sharp image of Charlie who lives in Bloedell Conservatory. On the top-left corner a small triangle, and a line off the left shoulder are distracting, and could easily be cloned out. |
