Great try and nice color palate but missed out strength because the eyes are closed. More of a snapshot than a competition image.

Interesting face, and good portrait. Good color contrast between hat and shirt (beige and blue). Texture of shirt, hat and wall work with the subjects face. Excellent!
Partial sidelight makes the face more attractive. With hat pushed up a little, it allows light to hit one eye fully. Important small detail!

Here we have a subject almost right in the centre of the frame, but it’s unfortunate that we can’t see his eyes, because the eyes are the most expressive parts of a portrait. You might want to try desaturated to a b&w image. |
