Very interesting rock formations. The light source could be more equally distributed and/or not directly pointed at the center where the rock then appears flat.

Interesting subject with texture. Depth of field works well to show the texture. The detail in the darkest areas could be reduced in lightroom or photoshop to bring out some detail in the shadows.
Wonder about the appropriateness of title. That is, is this really a desert image.

What is trying to be said with this image? What is its purpose? What’s the story? There isn’t much visual depth. “Desert” means to me “sand”, so this title is a misnomer to me.
Lighting is extremely difficult with too much light on the right and easing off to the left, where we see more details. I’m baffled by this image. |
