Some interesting patterns in the water, perhaps caused by the “Splash”.
Exposure of image should be reduced by a 1 to 1.5 stops. That will darken the water and duck to bring up some detail.
Duck’s tail is cut off. It should all be in the picture frame.
If the picture maker is interested in learning to make good bird images, she/he should be level with the eye of the bird (see
http://www.glennbartley.com/gallery.htm). How can the maker show some of the personality of the bird.

Great composition, has artistic merit
As water is such an important element here more depth from contrast or sharpness could benefit here

Good diagonal water line. Improving water patterns with curve adjustment will bring more interest in this area and give the photo better tone balance.
