Good Exposure and focus of the crane with a plain non distracting background. The texture of the neck and back of head almost looks like a weave. Bird is looking straight ahead so the title works.
The crane is rather static in posture. Many better bird images show more animation (not movement) but a slight look sideways or back will give the bird more of a personality.
