The surrounding area is more interesting in this image, than the man rowing. Man in the boat has a bit of a “snapshot” appeal and being in the front of image takes major importance.
It might have been better to have take the photo with the boat a bit further away and give the interesting background scene more importance.
Nice house color reflections would also show better.

Great capture in both the background and the movement of the boat.
I would love to see the next image in the series a bit further down so that the purple building and maybe the red window and its reflection would be out of the image.
Putting the rower in the final 1/3d of the image would also put more emphasis on him and balance the image.
Nicely done!!

A well-seen area. The soft light works well for this colourful scene.
The boat captain has been caught with a wary look. Perhaps waiting a few moments until he looked away would have given us a better story of someone rowing home instead of looking at the photographer.
