Foroozandeh (Forooz) Shamloo
Born in Iran
BA in English Translation, Azad University, Iran
Painting classes since 1993
Completed her education at the Fine Art Faculty of University of Tehran
She has been landed in Canada in 1996, and moved to Vancouver in 2000.
Forooz works in all Medias of Art. Her love and enthusiasm for arts is what encouraged her to volunteer at the Ferry Building Art Gallery at West Vancouver for almost three years. Her passion for arts was what drove her into pursuing arts, painting and drawing.
Forooz Shamloo has been attending alternative exhibitions for over 15 years in Iran, Canada and USA.
- 1994: participated in a Woman’s Art Exhibition in Tehran
- 2001: cooperated in the Kandelos display in Tehran
- 2006/7: A part of North Vancouver’s Community Arts Council / Seymour Art Gallery in Canada / IACA Iranian Festival at the Seattle Center in Seattle and Washington
- 2009: Silk Purse Art Gallery, West Vancouver
The joy of arts is what enables her to be a member of the Seymour Art Gallery, Ferry Building Art Gallery and the BC Iranian Senior’s Society.
