Mahsa Shoeleh
Painter
USA

Born in 1974, Mahsa Shoeleh began her career at a young age and received her early art training under the tutelage of Master Mostafa Akhavas with an emphasis in classical Persian miniature style and calligraphy. Continuing her formal education, Mahsa attended the Azadegan Arts and Sciences Academy in Tehran, where she received a degree in Graphic Design.

Medium:
Mahsa’s primary medium is oil on canvas; her style melds a “classical” sense with a “modern” spirit and gives rise to a unique and free style that defies any traditional genre. The rich texture of her pieces reflects a truly individual signature-style that is readily identifiable with the artist, even to the unfamiliar eye. The one-of-a-kind realm of sensual dimensions found in each painting is a leap into the extraordinary.

Exhibitions:
The first collection of Mahsa’s work was exhibited in 1994 at the Lazar Gallery in Tehran with the support and encouragement of the director, Ms. Janet Lazarian.
Between 1994 and 2003, Mahsa has held over 20 individual and group exhibitions at the following venues: Haft Samar Gallery, Tehran International Art Exhibition, Daryabaigy Gallery, Mansoureh Hosseini Gallery, Tehran Sheraton Hotel, and the benefit art exhibitions of the Special Diseases Foundation. Her paintings have won the admiration of many art collectors locally and internationally and are found in dozens of private collections throughout East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Mahsa currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she continues to create and exhibit her unique paintings.
