Graduated in Economics, self-taught photographer
In 1974, he went to Britain, where he worked for two years and he joined the Royal Society of Photographers.
He has taught photography at different universities in Iran since 1985.
He is a member of the editorial board of Aks-nameh, an Iranian quarterly journal of photography.
1961-1991, Director of the Department of Photo of Soroush Press
1997, Member of the founding group, consultant to the board of trustees and curator of exhibitions of the old photos at Aks-khaneh Shahr, the first Museum of Photography in Iran
1999, Member of jury for different photo contests
He has had many individual and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad.
