In the painting and photography, I am most of the time using the elements, which come from the theatre, cinema and literature. With those two medias I am trying to tell a story... Only in the painting there is more of the longing and impossibility of understanding something totally therefore in the photography I see more of the irony, even sarcasm.
Born on 1954 in Vilnius, Lithuania
Member of Lithuanian Artists Association from 1988
He has arranged 44 personal exhibition in Lithuania and abroad since 1986.
Finished school in 1973. The same year he went to army till 1975.
Worked as artist's assistant in Opera and Ballet House from 1976 to 1980
Studied at Vilnius Art Institute (now Academy) from 1980 to 1985
At the same time worked as senior artist - scene painter in Vilnius Youth Theatre from 1980 to 1990.
Working as a freelance artist since 1990.
Besides painting, he has worked in the fields of poster art, book illustration, set design, sculpture and photography.
His works have been acquired by:

2009 – Second position (CAPA Silver Medal) in Caroun Photo Club (CPC) competition 2008 (Vancouver, Canada)

2007 – Golden Star for the most popular visual artist
2007 – Laurynas Ivinskis premium for the best calendar of the year
2005 – The first place in the national contest for the best Lithuanian landscape at Klaipėda Picture Hall and Baroti gallery
1999–2000 – Premium for painting in national exhibition ‘The Beginning of the End’ in Klaipėda Picture Hall and Baroti gallery
1997 – Lithuanian Artists Association premium for creative continuation of Lithuanian tradition in the annual exhibition of Lithuanian painters
