Torbat Heidarieh is one of the main regions of Khorasan carpet weaving.

This carpet is offered in spun weft and crimson ground and has a worthy fame. In this carpet scarcely a dark-blue ground is used.

Irrespective of other images, the most desirable design of Mahulat carpet is joint by joint or Hassan Ghazi design, in which no corner or medallion might be seen.

No overall flower design is woven in Torbat Heidarieh, but weaving rugs is very customary in Torbat Heidarieh and Torbat Jaam.
