Dyeing methods are natural and traditional.

Eleven main and four secondary colors are used in these rugs.

The main used materials for dyeing are Pomegranate shell, walnut shell, madder weld, vine leaf and dyer's weed.

Cold colors are mostly used in Nain rugs and are:

1- Main colors: Cream or yellowish-white, light Khaki, dark khaki, light blue (sky blue), dark red, gray and dull brown.

2- Secondary colors: Chinese-green, Pea-green, green and Cupper (tan).
