Clear, sharp, good colour. The upper right corner needs to be darkened. The sun coming through the spider enhances the colour in the legs. At the same time, the rear abdomen is well lit and has good colour. The web lines lead the eye to the subject and hold it there.

This cross spider (European Garden Spider) is sharp and clear. Composition is OK, but the maker should leave ‘leading’ space in front of the spider not behind it. The colors, especially the greens seem over saturated.
The maker should consider toning down the greens and enhancing the browns. Using localized contrast enhancements on the spider could make the spider pop a little more. There is heavy noise in the greens probably from hi ISOs or from poor exposure that has been corrected in post.

The spider is sharp and well exposed, its shape has a nice symmetry. The background is a different colour and is blurry enough to provide separation for the subject…….The large white shape top right is very distracting, and there could be a tighter crop for better focus on the subject.
