An uplifting image. The rainbow’s angle echoes that of the edge of cloud and the two enclose the main image of birds. The visual diagonal created by the two birds (which extends to a mass of branches over the rainbow) helps to keep our eyes moving within the image but the flying bird provides a resting point. Well caught.

Sharp and clear image. Nicely detailed. The clouds help fill what would otherwise be negative space. The story told with the other bird in the tree is nice. The rainbow in the background adds a bit of impact and interest to this image.

There are possibilities in this photograph, like the clouds, blue sky, and the flying bird. Having a picture of just those simple elements could make an image…..But there are more subjects in the frame that compete with the flying bird, as in the trees and the rainbow.
